Jerome is Research Assistant on the research councils funded project Community, Media and the Creative Citizen which he joined in 2012. As well as general responsibilities to the project he specifically delivers to the strand in hyperlocal publishing.
Jerome joined Birmingham City University in 2006 as Design Manager at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design‘s User-lab, where he delivered user-centred design and user experience research for a variety of clients such as Royal Mail Group, Birmingham City Council, Ikon Gallery and 383 Project. Jerome previously worked as a freelance video and multimedia designer for clients including BBC, Lighthouse and The Public, as well as writing for magazine and book publishers such as Computer Arts and Friends of ED. He has specific interests in web culture, social media and the arts.
Jerome is an occasional contributor to hyperlocal news website WV11.co.uk and the Creative Citizens project’s strand of blogging on ‘hyperlocal’.
